The occurrence of injuries related to football always increases with the coming of the sports season in fall. Regardless of the fact that some injuries might be able to be prevented from happening by practice of good techniques, warm up routines and cross-training, mostly all athletes end up getting into an accident or at least an injury in their football career. You dont know if that particular injury is going to happen this season or the next one, but it is always a great idea to stay informed and be prepared how to heal and recover from the injury. Football players jump, collide, run and pivot all the time during practice or playing a course. Any of this might lead to chance of some injuries. Some common places footballers get injured on are:

1 - Leg Injuries

Another common injury amongst football players is the tearing or pulling of a hamstring. The reason it usually occurs is the performance of some movements which are sudden and explosive and the body isnt either ready or warmed up properly. Impacts of tackling can also lead to contusions.

2 - Knee Injuries

Being one of the oldest therapies to treat sports injuries, RICE is therapy that includes resting for the area that is injure, using ice to ease the pain, compression application to the swollen areas, and elevation of the injured area preventing edema build-up.

Medication

Prescription medications and over-the-counter medicines are easily sold to elevate pain because of the injury. The use of an NSAID might be help in the reduction of swelling as well

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy is required by injuries that involve the regaining of flexibility and muscle strength. Usually this is needed in cases of a significant tear of the ligament or surgery.
